ROURKELA: Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) will host the annual business plan (ABP) meeting 2008-09 of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) here on Tuesday.
The objective of the day-long programme is to discuss strategies to be adopted and the road map to be firmed up for the two flat steel producers in SAIL namely RSP and Bokaro Steel Plant (BSP) for 2008-09, RSP sources said here.
All the managing directors of the integrated steel plants of SAIL, directors of the SAIL board and many senior officers of different plants and units of the Navaratna company would attend the meeting, which will chaired by its Chairman S K Roongta.
They would discuss major areas like production, plant, budget, product mix, research and development activities, raw material, linkages, techno-economic parameters, cost of production, implementation of projects and environment management aspects.
The ABP for the two long product makers of SAIL - Bhilai Steel Plant and Durgapur Steel Plant - was discussed at Durgapur during February 13-14, would also be given final shape in the meeting here, the sources said.
The SAIL Chairman would also inaugurate the commencement of project activities of RSP's tonnage oxygen plant no 3, they added. |
